Ankobea took the house shield on Friday by four points, ending three years of Nkabom's hold on it, and it came down to the last event of the morning.
How it was won
Nkabom led from the march-past. Their Upper Primary sprinters took first and second in both the 100 and the 200 metres, and by the time the field broke for water at ten o'clock they were eleven points clear.
The turn came in the field events. Ankobea's Basic 8 team swept the long jump, and their Nursery and KG pupils — who score exactly the same points as everyone else, which is the whole point of the scoring system — took three firsts in the egg-and-spoon and sack races.
That left four points in it going into the 4×100 metre house relay. Ankobea's third leg went round the bend a metre down and came off it a metre up, and they held it to the line.

Individual results
The victor ludorum went to a Basic 9 pupil from Adehye, who won the 400 metres, the 800 metres and the high jump. The junior award went to a Basic 4 pupil from Nkabom with two firsts and a second.
Two school records went: the Basic 9 girls' 200 metres and the Basic 6 boys' long jump.
