The school bus
Where the bus goes
Routes are set each year around where our families actually live, so they change. Tell us your area and we will say straight away whether we cover it, what time the bus would reach you, and what it costs.

The school is on Star Avenue in Kokomlemle, and the bus works outwards from there. Rather than publish a route list that goes out of date, we would rather you called — you will get a straight answer about your own street, in one conversation.

How the bus works
Six rules we do not bend
Most of these exist because of something that went wrong somewhere, at some school, once.
- Every bus carries a driver and a bus assistant. The assistant, not the driver, hands each child over.
- No child is set down without a named adult present. If nobody is there, the child returns to school and you are called.
- Buses are tracked, and the transport officer can tell you where a bus is at any time.
- Drivers hold a valid licence and are re-checked annually. Vehicles are serviced monthly and inspected termly.
- Route changes take effect from the start of the following month. Tell the office in writing.
- Seat belts are fitted on every seat and are worn.
If a bus is late
Call the office on +233 26 150 4477. The transport officer can tell you where the bus is. Please do not call the driver.
The feeding programme
A cooked lunch, every day, in the fees
Prepared in the school kitchen each morning. A four-week menu is published every term — this is one week of it.

What parents ask
- Lunch is cooked in the school kitchen every morning and is included in the fees.
- A four-week menu is published each term and posted at the dining shed and on the parent noticeboard.
- Allergies and special diets are catered for once recorded on the health form. Tell us before the first day, not after.
- Kitchen staff hold food handlers' certificates. The kitchen is inspected termly and parents may ask to see it any day.
- Children may bring food from home if you prefer. There is no reduction in fees for doing so.
Allergies
Record every food allergy on the health form before your child’s first day. The kitchen and the class teacher both hold the list, and the nurse reviews it each term.
